I had two crow related experiences this morning. Firstly, I saw a crow using a crosswalk, though he was crossing against the light. That rebelious crow!
Secondly I saw a giant crow washing himself in a fountain. I bet he was getting ready for a date.

A study was able to prove that crows can identify an obstacle based on reasoning and not arbitrary features (A Cuddlefish or Octopus can do the arbitrary features trick, as seen on Nova). This is something a chimpanzee can not do.

Despite being enemy number one when I think of stolen tomatoes, and me forgetting to write a blog entry concerning a story about a obstinate crow on the hood of my former boss Charles’ car, I haven’t had much to write about concerning my most feared too-smart-for-their-own good species of bird.
